Visible progress is being made on West Point’s Fire and Rescue expansion project. The foundation has been laid and now walls are being erected.
“Things are going well,” City Administrator Tom Goulette said. “We’re a little behind because of the weather. But hopefully we can get caught up now that we’re not fighting the rain and mud.”
Goulette noted that the project broke ground in the middle of June and had a tentative completion date around the first of the year.
While the project is a little behind schedule, Goulette is hopeful the crew can ‘play some catch-up’, but that is weather dependent as of now.
